The Roxbury Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its new and improved Taste of Roxbury event. The 9th Annual Taste of Roxbury will take place on Monday, May 18 from 6:30 to 8:30pm at Roxbury High School in Succasunna.
Last year’s event was so successful due to all of the community support that big changes had to be made this year to accommodate everyone and make it an even better, more spacious event. The location has been changed to a larger venue, now at the Roxbury High School where there will be plenty of close parking and more seating for attendees. There will be more restaurants, more food and more fun.
Attendees will have the opportunity to taste food from a wide variety of restaurants in Roxbury and surrounding areas for only a fraction of what a night out would normally cost. It’s a great opportunity to have a night out, taste and enjoy unlimited portions of delicious food, learn about local restaurants and socialize with people from your area while helping to support your community. This is simply the best way to taste foods from restaurants you haven’t been to and see what they have to offer, plus taste some dishes from your favorite places. Participating restaurants will have the opportunity to share their coupons, discounts, door prizes and giveaways. Attendees can support local clubs by purchasing refreshments at their tables. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated back to the local community.
This is an event that comes full circle to benefit everyone involved, including attendees. Restaurants get to show off their delicious food, attendees get to sample foods from a wide variety of local places and eat as much as they want, plus many organizations and charities in our community receive large donations to support their efforts and needs.
So far, participating restaurants include Ava’s Cupcake Shoppe & Café (winner of Season 4 “Cupcake Wars”), Cambiotti’s Tomato Pie Café, China King, The Chocolate Finish, The Clay Oven, Cliff’s Homemade Ice Cream, Down to the Bone, Irpinia Italian Deli, Morris Tap & Grill, Muldoon’s Restaurant & Pub, Riviera May, Roxbury Diner, Texas Smoke BBQ, Joe’s Pizza, La Gratella, Sushi Hana, Loving Hut and Istanbul Turkish Mediterranean Cuisine. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available online at RoxburyNJChamber.org/taste/ and for purchase at Roxbury Recreation Dept located at Horseshoe Lake, 72 Eyland Ave in Succasunna and at Fulton Bank located at 274 Rt 10 west in Succasunna.
