Kathryn DeFillippo is a former Roxbury Chamber President and former Roxbury Township Councilwoman-At-Large (2006-2013) and Mayor (2009). In 2014 Kathy was elected to serve on The Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders. The title was eventually changed to County Commissioner. She retired at the end of 2022. She also served as Director of the board for 2 consecutive years.
Kathy was a Certified Insurance Rehabilitation Counselor prior to holding elected office. She worked with physically and mentally handicap adults in vocational settings and then with injured workers on Workers Compensation. Kathy has retired her credentials (CIRS-R).
WALK MS – every April at Horseshoe Lake
Kathy is also credited with bringing Walk MS to Horseshoe Lake in Roxbury in 2006. It is still held in April every year and is supported by over a thousand participants each year. If you would like to know more about participating as a walker or sponsor, contact Kathy.
