Township of Roxbury: John Shepherd
Biography
Roxbury Township’s Manager John Shepherd serves as the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the departments. Council establishes policy and direction for the manager and departments.
Roxbury is a family friendly community recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Communities for Young People. It is home to over 23,000 residents and covers an area of approximately 22 square miles. The Township offers a diversity of housing, cultural opportunities, active recreation and library programs, with 16 award-winning parks and three lakes including Lake Hopatcong (NJ’s largest lake). The Township also has a top-notch school system consistently ranking within the Top 10% in the state.
